Martin Hybler

(*1977)

graduated from the Prague Conservatory (Bohuslav Řehoř) and from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Václav Riedlbauch). After spending six months at the Hochschule für Musik in Hamburg with prof. W. A. Schultz, in 2009 he defended his doctoral thesis (supervised by Prof. Ivan Kurz) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. His work has been performed at festivals home and abroad, including Prague Spring, Prague Premieres, Silk Sound Road in Bishkek (2002), and the Klagenspuren Festival in Innsbruck. His creative energy is primarily focused on classical music, and he composes for prominent Czech soloists as well as for the stage. He arranges and instruments music by old masters, popular music, and jazz, and as a piano accompanist or choir master of the Carmina Ensemble he is also active as a musician.
