Jiří Hájek - Icarus

This piece is a reaction to my work with composition software. I attempted to use the orchestra as if it allowed the same possibilities that working with digital sound does. I was inspired by the ancient Icarus myth, which is as relevant and meaningful today as it was 3000 years ago – the tale of a man who wished to change the world and in the end the world changed him.
