Why NUBERG09?

* NU = NEW
* BERG = Berg Orchestra
* 2009 = year of the creation and premieres of the works

Berg Orchestra commissions new works every year, primarily with young Czech composers.
Thus, it represents a sort of a "music lab" where the authors have the opportunity to regularly check their ideas.
It is great that our current audiences downright look forward to hearing these new compositions, certainly also because every composer is different and original. We had strong desire to offer these works to a wider audience.
We will be happy if any of these new pieces catches your attention to the extent that you will decide to vote for it
in a competition for the most successful creation of the past year "NUBERG 2008".
